Revising HeartQuest PDF Print E-mail

The names of Seraphim Guard and HeartQuest are synonymous with each other. HeartQuest is very much the flagship title of this company, and as the company goes so does HeartQuest. Since acquiring Seraphim Guard, one thing that has continually come up in the meetings of Rusttown Press is revisiting and revising HeartQuest for new audiences of gamers and anime/manga fans

A lot has changed with both anime and role-playing games since HeartQuest was last revised. And, because of that we think that it is time for a new look at the HeartQuest game, and it's approach to role-playing. While at the Origins convention this weekend. HeartQuest once again came up in our conversations as it was a topic that came up with a few other publishers and designers while we were at the convention. HeartQuest needs a new look and feel, something that reflects a century and a new era of publishing for Seraphim Guard.

So, new development has begun on a brand new HeartQuest. Discussions have been made between our designers and notes are being compiled. We are looking with an eye to greatly simplifying the rules of the game in addition to addressing issues in previous editions, such as relationship rules governing the characters and their worlds, and new approaches to anime/manga role-playing are considered.

Taking the name HeartQuest to (well) heart, one of the new mechanics that is being introduced in this revision is the character's Heart. Will the character achieve their desires or will they Falter? Watch as we discuss the development of this new version of HeartQuest and find out.
